Master of Art Therapy · 9 years experience
Through my personal experiences, I have seen how the expressive power of artmaking can reveal one's deepest emotions, thoughts, and fears, while opening up new pathways to mental wellbeing. As a practising artist and art therapist, my goal is to facilitate a bridge for my clients to safely move between the realms of creativity and therapeutic imagination, fostering healing, self-discovery, and connection. I have a special interest in Asian ritual artmaking traditions, which has inspired me to develop innovative approaches honing the concept of mindful creativity. I work with diverse clinical populations, as well as lecture part-time at LASALLE College of the Arts Singapore in the MA Art Therapy program, where my published research explores cultivating self-compassion through found materials, museum-based art therapy, and the intersection of memory and creative expression. Please reach out if you are interested in exploring your inner world through the expressive power of artmaking!
Lived Experience: Rich and diverse range of multi-cultural and life experiences; leading to a non-judgemental, therapeutic approach.
