I use art and play therapy, including sand tray therapy, Earth-based connection work, Jungian and existential approaches, parts work, attachment and developmental psychology to create a safe and supportive space for your own self-exploration, growth and healing. I love the power of stories, fairy tales, dreams and the natural world to reveal aspects of our inner life to us in amazing and symbolic ways. With children, I take a psychodynamic approach, where my clients (age 3 and up) can use the creative and accepting therapeutic space to express frustration, sadness and grief, address missed developmental pieces, gain self-mastery, build trust and connection and be witnessed as they create and explore within safe and clear boundaries. I work closely with parents when possible and also offer individual parent support sessions; as a parent of a young adult myself, I know how much the work of parenting can reveal and intensify our own unresolved pain as well as create new challenges.
